The Tour Down Under is thrilled to announce the signing of Nate Perkins, touring professional and the 2023 New Zealand National Champion, to its roster for the 2024 season. With over 230 PDGA sanctioned events under his belt, Nate brings extensive experience to disc golf’s highest stage, coupled with youthful talent and flair.
Nate’s unforgettable trip to New Zealand in 2023, where he secured his first PDGA A-tier professional victory at the 2023 New Zealand National Championships, has fuelled his excitement to return to New Zealand this summer. Engaging in a tight competition against the 2022 National Champion Jay Watkinson and Belgium's Maxime Tanghe, 'The Muscles from Brussels'. Trailing Watkinson by just one stroke entering the last hole, Nate applied the pressure with a remarkable forehand over 100 meters into the island Par 3, landing squarely in the bullseye. Nate's composure in the crucial moments down the stretch, and on the penultimate hole, saw him to clinch the championship by a single stroke in regulation play.
Nate is geared up to complete the entire 2024 Tour Down Under schedule and aims to defend his New Zealand National title in Auckland at the 46th New Zealand National Disc Golf Championship.
