Tour Down Under will take a one-year pause from competition in 2027, following a period of challenging and unforeseen circumstances.
The pause provides an opportunity to reset, regroup and prepare for the next chapter of Tour Down Under, returning in 2028 bigger and better than ever.
The 2028 season will feature events that have become staples on the Tour Down Under calendar, including the Australasian Open, New Zealand Open and Bottle Lake Open, alongside further events and initiatives to be announced.
Tour Down Under would like to extend its sincere thanks to our major brand partners, the PDGA, MVP Disc Sports and Go Throw, and our many event partners, sponsors, volunteers, local hosts and media partners.
And then there are our incredible fans around the world.
For our fans across New Zealand and Oceania, TDU has become a highlight of the summer. For our fans tuning in from the Northern Hemisphere, TDU has offered a welcome dose of sunshine and world-class disc golf coverage during the depths of winter, kickstarting the new year.
We are immensely grateful to all our fans who tune in, follow the action and support TDU year after year. As we look ahead to 2028, we look forward to bringing the world's best players 'down under' and showcasing the best of Oceania, bigger and better than ever.
While there will be no Tour Down Under season in 2027, the foundations are in place for an exciting next chapter. We look forward to kicking off our next season in January 2028.
The countdown to 2028 begins now!
